Rival Farms started long before I ever had a business idea. I grew up around plants, learning from my mom that something as simple as putting a seed in the ground could eventually become something that feeds you, heals you, or simply gives you a reason to care for something outside yourself. When I was 15, I discovered cannabis, and over the years it became much more than a plant to me—it became the beginning of a much larger question about health, freedom, personal responsibility, and how much control we should have over our own lives. As I grew older, I started looking beyond cannabis and toward something bigger: self-sufficiency. I began asking myself how much of what I depend on every day I could learn to produce myself, and how I could help other people do the same. Rival Farms is the beginning of that journey. I don't want to build something simply to become successful; I want to build something that leaves people with more knowledge, more capability, and more control over their own lives than they had before they found it. I don't know exactly where this road will lead, but I know where it starts—with a seed, a willingness to learn, and the belief that building something good is worth spending a lifetime doing.
